Bestest Picture

By: Darren Shaw
  • Summary

  • The Shaw family is on an epic quest to find out which of the Oscar Best Picture winners stands above them all. They’re watching every Academy Award Best Picture Winning film; each episode features two films that share a common thread, pitted against one another in single-elimination. The winner advances to the next round; the loser goes home. It’s a Battle Royale; it’s a Tournament of Champions; it’s March Madness… but with movies. Join Darren, Kendall, Sam, and Ben Shaw (and the occasional special guest) as they get together to talk about what they’ve seen, share some fun film facts, and posit all their opinions - whether educated or completely unfounded. By the time it’s all through, there will be a winner (obviously, There can Only be One): The One Film to Rule them All. The Best of the Best. The Bestest Picture.

In this Clash of Silent Titans, which one will prove Bestest? Gotta listen to find out!

It’s the first episode of the Bestest Picture podcast! We’re kicking it off with a showdown of Biblical (and biblical-adjacent) proportions: It’s Crowe vs Heston. It’s Scott vs Wyler. It’s Rome vs. well...basically everybody else.
