  • I vårens siste installasjon av bokklubben hvor vi leser politiske selvbiografier tar vi for oss to ruvende skikkelser fra det indiske subkontinentet; Benazir Bhutto og Indira Gandhi. Som henholdsvis de første kvinnelige statsministerne i Pakistan og India markerer disse damene seg i et samfunn og politisk miljø reservert for menn, og deres liv og virke sammenfaller på mange områder. (For å ikke nevne død).

    Med utgangspunkt i selvbiografiene "Daughter of Destiny" av Bhutto og "My Truth" av Gandhi diskuterer og sammenligner vi damenes politiske reise, forhold til religion, og rolle i de politiske dynastiene som vi i dag kjenner som "The Bhuttos" og "The Gandhis."
