    Hendrix is known for his horror fiction, often mixing humor with horror, and his non-fiction books on the horror genre. Some of his well-known novels include "Horrorstör," "My Best Friend's Exorcism," and "The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires." In addition to his novels, Hendrix has also written for numerous publications, including Playboy, The Village Voice, and Slate, and he co-wrote the screenplay for the film "Mohawk."

    Hendrix has won several awards for his work, including the Bram Stoker Award and the Edgar Award. He is considered one of the most exciting voices in horror fiction today.
