Becoming Booked Out + Boldly Paid with Yvonne Miranda

  • Summary

  • Today we sit down for a fiery convo with Yvonne Miranda: badass veteran-designer-entrepreneur-mama extraordinaire!

A former Marine, Yvonne traded in her combat boots for a career in costume, fashion, and scenic design after serving 5 years with a tour overseas in Operation Iraqi Freedom. A graduate from Meadows School of the Arts at SMU with an M.F.A. degree in Stage Design, she has garnered such achievements as the competitive Television Academy's costume design internship.

Today, Yvonne has built a solo brand that is unapologetically in demand across the country, with prestigious companies offering $11,000+ to book her design services.

We get into all the juicy stuff:

    • holding the standard for bold money

    • advocating for your time + energy as a female entrepreneur

    • confidence in contracts + negotiation

    • balancing business with marriage and two children

    • paving a new paradigm of success as a disabled Woman of Color
