In this episode, we sit down with S Maverick, a multi-talented artist, rapper, dancer, and workshop leader who is changing lives through music. Growing up in a deprived area of Birmingham, where opportunities were scarce, Sam used his love for music to inspire change.
He founded Maverick Sounds to equip young people in prisons and disadvantaged communities with the skills and confidence to make better life choices.
With over 15 years of experience as a performer and music producer, Sam has worked extensively in prisons, schools, and youth programs, helping young black men and women in inner-city areas find positive outlets for their creativity.
Maverick's ultimate goal is to be the role model that young people need, empowering them to escape crime and gang life and fulfil their true potential.
Join us as we dive into Sam’s inspiring journey from artist to advocate, and how he’s using the creative arts to spark hope in the lives of youth who need it most.
