  • He seemed normal. Why read this book?
    Apr 27 2022
He seemed normal: When Being High Functioning on the Autism Spectrum Was Dismissed a Discipline Problem...His Journey, My Destiny. is my son's story I wrote about the struggle and pain felt when advocating for him. Knowing nothing on the topic I was fortunate to have people including his advocate to help me to do what needed to be done. Why should you read it? • Does one bad apple really destroy the bunch?
    Apr 23 2022
My son's story I wrote to share about his diagnosis with autism, riddled with trauma, confusion, and so much stimming. My destiny became to stop trauma like Jesse's for other families and be the professional that remembers what it was like to be a parent needing help.

  • Autism JAM or Burst with the "Speducators"
    Apr 22 2022

Rachael from autism JAM or Burst here with the speducators. Like educators, but way cooler! You don't know, what you don't know until someone shares it with you. Empowering parents is the best career move for me and has become empowering for me ... I knew nothing, luckily I had family and my son's angel, his advocate, to share with me what I didn't know so that I could help my son. This episode is my chance to share and connect. I never want another child traumatized by school-leaving scars on a mother's heart. It is hard to heal from, and you deserve better than crying in the shower or closet so your children don't hear you... We will be JAMmin, and I hope that I can give you everything I ever wanted for my son years ago. This episode, WHO DO I THINK I AM??? WHAT MAKES ME THINK? I CAN PULL THIS OFF? Also, I have seen three separate types of parents with children on the spectrum. Find out which type of parent frustrates me and how I choose to handle the situation.

By the end, there will be m my take on the most frustrating parts of an IEP. What you can say to keep the educators from making you feel like an unwanted guest. I will give you those tips and more—Rachael from autism JAM or Burst here with the speducators. Like educators, but way cooler! You don't know, what you don't know until someone shares it with you.
