  • Why are there so many threats against schools this year?

    This school year has begun with arrests and threats against schools all over Texas.
    On Wednesday, the Houston area had four threats and arrests for everything from bomb threats to finding a gun and a knife on campus to a stabbing. Across Texas, police have arrested at least 10 people over school threats, including a student in Wylie who threatened to shoot up the school, and another at a middle school in Arlington. Dr. Alex del Carmen, a criminology professor at Tarleton State Univesity, joined Ask the Expert on Thursday.
