Apostate of Mind

By: Apostate of Mind
  • Summary

  • A weekly podcast, hosted by Steven Vargas, who takes you on his journey of leaving his Christian faith after 42 years. This podcast isn't for people to argue their faith but for people questioning. Some questions that their pastors won't answer. He isn't telling you to leave your faith, but it is okay to question it. This is just his journey, which may be somewhat like yours.

    Episodes drop every Friday.

Welcome to the debut episode of Apostate of Mind. Before we get into regularly scheduled episode, I thought it was important to explain what the show is about. As well as give some reasons behind leaving the Christian faith and some potential topics I’ll discuss over the course of the show.

This is the first episode, so be nice. If you have your stories about doubting your faith or why you left – I would love to hear them. Maybe you could give me permission to share them on the show. You can send them to the email below in the links.

Have you started to have your doubts about your Christian faith? Are you starting to think that maybe this stuff isn’t making sense? Do you think you are somehow a defective Christian?

You’re not alone. I have been there myself. Too many of these kinds of podcasts simply give you countless reasons to disregard your doubts. That it’s simply the world telling you what you believe is wrong. The problem is, at least, for me is that the religion I joined when I was 8-years-old is not the same one in 2024.

Apostate of Mind allows you to explore those thoughts through my journey that led me out of the evangelical faith. You may not be ready to leave your faith, nor am I telling you that you should. However, you should be allowed to explore your doubts. Have your questions answer. Not simply be told to just read your bible.

Apostate of Mind is available, every Friday, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere you get your podcasts.
