Contemporary artist Antra Srivastava has been working professionally for more than two decades and showcased her work across the country and Internationally.
A graduate with honors in English Literature, she is a poet and a translator also.
she has traveled extensively across the globe which brought her into contact with a wealth of outlooks and introduced her to a vast range of perceptions ideas and knowledge. It profoundly affected her work and subsequently touched many lives. Being an army wife, social welfare has always been an integral part of her life. She has conducted various art workshops for the families and children of armed forces as well as in civil to sensitize people about the healing and uplifting power of art and also its economic prospects.
Her work is largely based on inner reflections and imaginations. She loves to express herself through surrealism through her body of work reflects her inclination towards abstract figurative style too. She works with oil and acrylic mostly and rich colors are an integral part of her compositions.
Her works with an acclaimed Iraqi Poet are being collaborated and published in an idiosyncratic book 'Poetic Palette' showcasing her paintings based on the poems of the poet, which received a great response.
She has a deep interest in language and literature and apart from expressing through brushes, she expresses herself through her poems and other literary mediums as well. She has translated a novella ( A Gothic Christmas Angel) by an award-winning American author Anna Erishkigal, which was received with much love. Recently her book Mann Pankhi Khwab Asman, a collection of 52 poems along with 29 short poems is being published and available on Amazon.
Her works are in the collection of Director Anurag Kashyap, Actor and social influencer Anushka sen, various embassies, several VIP Army Messes, Royal Itarana Palace [Alwar], various senior Army/ Govt /corporates/business owners private collections in India and abroad.
