An Introduction to Vocal Unrest

  • Summary

  • I have spent the past fourteen years working with people on their voices. Over the years, I have encountered countless people who have been told that they can't or shouldn't see. I developed a fascination with the idea that people are afraid of their own vocal power. Where did this fear come from? We are all born with a voice and the ability to make sound. If someone thinks they have a bad voice, where is that idea born? As I began digging into these questions, I discovered that these challenges plague singers of all levels, from amateurs to professionals. A singer's relationship with their voice is a beautiful and complicated thing. Vocal Unrest is my quest to dispell any myths about what makes a "good" or "bad" singer and, instead, empower guests and listeners to own the power of their natural voice.
