Alex Stephany | A career journey from law to crowdfunding tech for homeless people

  • Summary

  • For the third episode of The Escape Artists we’re delighted to welcome Alex Stephany, co-founder and CEO of tech-for-good organisation Beam. Alex’s career journey took him from dipping his toe into the law world to a realisation that generating ideas was where his strengths lay. The twists and turns of his unique path led him to an idea that has since changed the lives of hundreds of homeless people.

Alex cites the importance of getting in touch with people that may be able to offer up advice and support, meeting groups with similar interests and generally being open-minded to possibilities that arise.

Beam is the world’s first crowdfunding platform that helps people from disadvantaged backgrounds to train up and get into work.
