Meet another inspiring Acts of Love recipient - Edward! Edward is a single father and was referred to the Family Preservation Program at MUST Ministries.
He aged out of foster care himself and has no support system due to his family and friends either being in prison or struggling with active addictions. After being released from incarceration, Edward started working with DFCS, Family Treatment Court, and other resources to obtain custody of his children.
He completed the parenting classes and obtained his high school diploma. He wanted to do better for his children and completed his DFCS case plan to obtain full custody of his children, which was successfully done about 2 months ago.
He is currently working as a forklift operator. Must Ministries assisted with his hotel for one week and he has been able to keep up with the costs throughout searching for permanent housing. With past felony charges on his record, he has faced barriers in being approved for housing. Must Ministries were able to find a private landlord with availability. With living in a motel for quite some time, he does not have any furniture of his own.
That's where Fish listeners like YOU stepped in to help provide:
• Furniture for home (bedrooms, living room, dining room)
• New TV
• $500 to Wal-Mart to help with household items and stock the fridge
Thank you to MUST Ministries for being a part of this special Act of Love for Edward!!
