2 Timothy 2:3 (KJV)
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Paul, a steadfast apostle of Christ, shipwrecked severally, imprisoned for the Gospel, hazarded his life to take the Word of God to the furthest corner of the world. Indeed, he is qualified to admonish his spiritual son, Timothy, to endure "hardness" as a good soldier.
You can either choose to be a good soldier or a civilian! When you see yourself drawn into gossip that has the propensity to make you a gossiper, then you have become a civilian. When you are easily carried away by rumours and deceptions rather than the words of your Commander, the Lord Jesus, then you are a civilian. When prayer, fasting, and reading the Word of God become burdensome rather than exciting, you are a civilian. When sitting in Church for two hours agitates you, then you are a civilian.
Today, let your life for Christ signify a life of endurance and sacrifice as a soldier. Do not relent; stand your guard. The year of Milk and Honey has not ended yet. You will celebrate this very year like a soldier marching victoriously in Jesus' mighty Name! Praise the Lord!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a soldier, marching forward with Jesus as my Commander; there is no turning back. My life is a life of testimonies with trophies of victories won in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
