In 1 Kings 12 and 13, we see the beginning of the fall of the united kingdom of Israel. Where do you get your advice from? Who do you listen to? Can you discern the voice of God from the voices of men?

Today brings us to 1 Kings 11. It is a sad chapter as Solomon turns away from the Lord. What has, or can, turn your heart from the Lord?

Today, we cover two chapters, 9 and 10. We are going to see the Lord appear to Solomon and then Solomon’s great wisdom and wealth on display. Are you blessed beyond measure? Solomon was. Can you be too?

1 Kings 8 is one of the greatest chapters in all of 1 and 2 Kings. It is the dedication of the temple. Solomon prays. How is your prayer life?

Today, we are in 1 Kings 7. Solomon builds his own palace, and he provides furnishings for the temple. Hiram, a construction worker, is “full of wisdom, understanding, and skill” (v. 14). He did the work for Solomon. What skills do you bring to work each day?
