A Man's Job During Birth

  • Summary

  • Hey everyone, let’s talk about the role we, as husbands, play during childbirth. When it comes to delivery day, we’re there to be our wives' protectors. Hospitals can operate like they’re running on an assembly line – a one-size-fits-all approach that might not match your family's birth plan or vision for the birth of your child. Our job is to protect that vision and make sure she isn’t pressured or emotionally pushed into decisions she doesn’t want to make.

We also talk about how a doula can be a game-changer. Doulas know the ropes and understand the subtle ways hospital staff might suggest interventions or changes that might not align with your goals. They’re a support system for both of you, helping advocate for your family's wishes and navigate those situations with confidence.

So, let’s remember that our role is to stand by her, and be her voice when she needs it. It’s our job to make sure her birth plan is respected every step of the way!
