A Little Old Washing line from atop Maer Cliffs

  • Summary

  • This poem was inspired by Peter ‘Vicko’ Vickery who tied a washing line to his surfboard in the 1950’s to use as a leash. It is said the surfboard leash was invented in 1970 but the surfers of Bude know Vicko did it first.
