A Journey Off The Record feat Neil Jaffee -S2E6

  • Summary

  • In this week's episode, D.J. Burr talks with Neil Jaffee, distinguished filmaker and lawyer, about his two documentaries: Off The Record: Justice Denied to Child Sex Abuse Survivors(Best in Show - Rosebud Film Festival) and Pursuit of Truth. Neil and his co-producer, Valerie Gibson, are advocates for survivors and they work tirelessly to educate the public about the injustices survivors endure when coming forward to report their sexual abuse experiences.  Neil talks with D.J. about how to navigate the complex judicial system; how to identify the proper resources to help pursue legal justice, either through criminal or civil prosecution; and some of the additional challenges survivors might face on the road to justice. D.J. and Neil also discuss the recent #Metoo movement.  Check out Off The Record - www.offtherecordfilm.com | Trailer - https://vimeo.com/183590177 | Purchase on Vimeo on Demand Pursuit of Truth - www.pursuitoftruthfilm.com Email Neil/Valerie @ thejustice101@gmail.com    Hosted by D.J. Burr - a Seattle psychotherapist and author of I Just Wanted Love: Recovery of a Codependent, Sex and Love Addict.  Each episode of Journey On features real life accounts of sexual abuse and assault. You may be triggered by what you hear. I advise self-care tools; reaching out to a friend, seeing your therapist, picking a new time to listen to the show, or even listening with a group of friends.
