  • ソクラテスの思想をあらわすものとして名高い「無知の知」。この有名な思想について、ここで考えてみます。
    プラトンの『ソクラテスの弁明』では、ソクラテスの友人であり信奉者でもあったカイレポンが「ソクラテス以上に知恵のある者はいない」というお告げをアポロン神殿の巫女から得たことが語られています。このお告げを聞いたソクラテスはそれをどのように理解しどのような行動に出たのか。知恵を意味するギリシア語「ソピアー」の語源学考察なども交えて、議論してゆきます。
