  • Summary

  • A lifelong audiophile, Lou Rawls knows a LOT about sound, gear and electronic music. We talk specifics regarding his quadraphonic reinforcement setup from a recent event: speaker placement, signal path, power distribution... and we jam with a wealth of techy gear. "Audio is always a compromise," says Lou and this livestream was too-- barely scratching the surface of his depth of knowledge and sound design skills. Hope to have him back soon! However, if you want to see him sooner, go listen to the sound at the main stage at the Equinox festival-- details below.

About 8(pm) Note: An hour of chattin' and and hour of jammin' with Asheville musicians. Guests and host Sam Irvin share notes about gear, grooves and genres before performing live (usually improvised) tunes just for fun! This is an opportunity to explore the studio, get to know the community better and to get creative for creativity's sake.
