601 - HOW PSYCHEDELIC MEDICINES CAN HELP HEAL TRAUMA

  • Summary

  • The incidences of trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, and personality disorders are on the rise. It is estimated that 1 in 4 Americans are taking prescription mental health medications, yet very little healing is occurring.  However, without proper help, these mental illnesses become the biggest contributing factor to developing chronic health conditions, such as cancers, heart conditions, thyroid, autoimmune disorders, and even hormone imbalances.

It might seem that all hope is lost, as the medical industry monopolized the diagnosis and the ineffective cures for mental disorders. However, maybe there is still hope for those who are struggling to get the help they deserve.

Studies now confirm that psychedelic medicines, which were once vilified, may be effective in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental illnesses.

These substances, which include medicines like MDMA, LSD, DMT, psilocybin, Amanita Muscaria, ayahuasca, and many others, can alter a person's consciousness and perception, allowing them to access and process difficult memories and emotions in a new way.

Some studies have shown that using psychedelics in a controlled, therapeutic setting can help individuals overcome symptoms of trauma, such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, thus paving the way to healing physiological chronic conditions too.
