54 How Auditing Your Time Can Help Your Child Quickly Learn How to Read

  • Summary

  • Do you constantly say to yourself, ”I wish I had more time to help my child learn how to read?” My children learned to read at age 3, but our daughter didn’t have as strong of reading skills as her older brothers. During that time, I was so overwhelmed with work and life that I rarely read her any bedtime stories. It wasn’t until I audited my time that I realized I honestly wasn’t investing enough time to see the results I wanted to see.

After looking at several reading programs, it appears it often takes anywhere from approximately 12-30 hours to years of instruction to teach a child to read. This obviously varies depending on MANY factors such as the level of reading you’re trying to achieve, your kiddo’s age, attention span, language development, and the other literacy skills your child already has, but time spent focusing on reading goals really does matter. Today, we are going to audit your time to help your child quickly learn how to read. Let’s Dig In!
