  • Cristina ve la oportunidad de escapar en medio de una golpiza, cuando se da cuenta de que su marido dejó una puerta abierta. Ella no duda en aprovechar el momento y huye llevándose a su hija Karla, pero en el escape se ve obligada a abandonar a sus otros tres hijos. Se instala, maltrecha y abatida, en Cancún con su hermana. Allí trabaja, pero se da cuenta de que nunca podrá juntar el dinero suficiente para poder mantener a sus hijos y decide irse de ‘mojada’ a EEUU.
