38: Negotiating for Corporate Success (Part 3)

  • Summary

  • Are you tired of leaving money on the table?

When I was in corporate, I accepted a job offer for a six-figure salary, not realizing that my predecessor was making 26% more for the same exact role.

After seeing this, I realized that I had been conditioned by society to be so grateful for the first offer and not to negotiate, leading me to leaving a significant amount of money on the table.

Through my experience, I later realized that the majority of job offers extended to men were countered, while only about 0.8% of offers extended to women were.

That’s why in this new episode of the PowHER House podcast, we are continuing our negotiation series and talking through the toxic beliefs and societal conditioning that hinder women's negotiating efforts, while also sharing strategies on how to overcome them.

I am talking through how to command your power, embrace a love of money and success, and hire subject matter experts to improve your negotiating skills and overall worth. Make sure to tune in, grab your workbook with the link below and listen to the other episodes in the series if you haven’t already!
