Beşiktaş were completely and utterly emberasssed by amodest Ajax side on Thursday night in the opening game of the Europa League's league stages. It's the first time that new coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst has clearly made a major misstep in his Beşiktaş career, rather than sticking to his guns and fielding a team to play our own game and play to our strengths, Gio completely adjusted himself to a histroically average Ajax side by changing around his regular tactics. It almost feels like Gio is already prioritizing the league over the European campaign.
