Every believer faces moments when they stand at the threshold of something new, something God-ordained, and yet, resistance comes. The enemy is not interested in your past; he is terrified of your future. When Paul and Barnabas returned to Antioch, they didn't just share stories of open doors but also the battles they faced in reaching those doors.

Our springboard for today’s discussion is: Acts 14:27 – "And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles."

When God opens a door, the enemy does everything he can to block your entrance. Distractions, doubts, and obstacles are not signs that you should turn back; they are proof that you’re on the right path. Spiritual warfare intensifies when you’re about to step into a greater calling. It could be fear gripping your heart before a ministry launch, unexpected conflicts arising in relationships, or financial setbacks trying to derail your obedience. But here’s the truth: no force of darkness can shut a door that God has opened for you.

So how do we fight at the threshold? First, recognize the enemy’s tactics—he works through discouragement, division, and deception. Second, arm yourself with God’s Word, just as Jesus did in the wilderness. Third, stand in prayer and faith, refusing to retreat just because opposition has appeared. If God has brought you to the door, He will take you through it.

Let’s Pray: Lord, strengthen us as we stand at the threshold of Your calling. Give us discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and faith to step forward in obedience. We trust that what You open, no one can shut. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
