  • L’interesse di Doc per Gloria continua a crescere e lo psichiatra è disposto a usare ogni strumento offerto dalla scienza medica per aiutarla, compreso l'elettrochoc. Nel frattempo, in ospedale viene ricoverata una ragazza molto giovane e completamente immemore, che è stata trovata dalla polizia in campagna in stato confusionale. Il trattamento nei confronti di Gloria, per quanto drastico, sembra aver funzionato e la ragazza può essere dimessa. Ma proprio nel momento di lasciare l'ospedale, la paziente si lancia nel vuoto, uccidendosi.
