2 - Conservation Inspiration Storytime

  • Summary

  • Hello and Welcome back! Think we got the sound figured out…maybe not… it’s me. I’m the problem :). We wanted to dedicate an episode to introduce ourselves a little more and talk about our journeys to becoming zoo keepers and maybe even peek into our dreams for the future. We get asked this question often while giving keeper talks and interacting with zoo guests at work. We talk about how it all started for each other, where a lot of our passions and inspirations are rooted, and the opportunities we have been given. Throughout our experiences, we want to thank all the organizations, facilities, schools, friends, educators, communities, and animals that paved this path for each of us. Big shoutouts to Berry College, the University of Georgia, and of course, Miami University. Below you can find the links for some of the places we talk about in this episode. Atlanta Coyote Project: https://atlantacoyoteproject.org/ Let us know if you want to go on a field trip to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge: https://www.turpentinecreek.org/ Project Dragonfly: https://miamioh.edu/cas/graduate-studies/project-dragonfly/index.html Zoo Atlanta: https://zooatlanta.org/ Let us know if you would actually join our bookclub???
