In Episode 12 of Vision & Graft I'm talking to Jeroen Bogaert, an Assistant Director mainly working on drama film projects in the UK and he's been a colleague on a number of films. In the episode Jeroen shares what an Assistant Director's job role is and why it is so important to the success of a film. We also discuss keeping calm under pressure and communicating with different directors who are each creatives with different ways of working. We consider how important 'clicking' with collaborators is and whether it is important. We talk at length about managing personal relationships when you have a busy freelance life and the challenges that come up that can cause problems. Finally we look at the dangers of taking the same approaches to new creative work and why it's important to keep things fresh without running yourself into the ground. During the break I announce a competition I'm running alongside Rosco to win a Rosco MIXBOOK Digital Swatchbook. Full T&Cs are available at visiongraft.com Vision & Graft aims to inspire action, give hope, build resilience and normalise the discussion of mental health issues within creative sectors as well as more widely throughout society. --- Jeroen Bogaert Instagram | @bogaert_jeroen Jeroen Bogaert IMDB | Link RWP Website | rwpreisner.com RWP Instagram | @rwpreisner RWP Photography Instagram | @rwp_incompany --- Disclaimer: The content in the podcast and on this webpage is not intended to constitute or be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
