    イチローが野球人生を振り返って、最初に思い浮かんだ忘れられない試合。それは全ての始まりの試合。小学１年生の時、どうしても出たかった地元の少年野球大会だった。年齢を偽って上級生に混じって出場した大会で、グラブに伝わった打球の感触を今でも覚えているという。この頃から、イチローは明確にプロ野球選手を意識していた。第１話では、プロに目標を定めた学生時代の鍛錬の日々に焦点を当てる。
