We cover everything from the different types of cannabis to the different methods of consuming it, the different parts of the plant. We keep it high level early so you'll walk away with a clear understanding of the basics of cannabis. James and I are doing this podcast to educate ourselves and ask the questions you’re thinking. So grab a pen and paper or a cuppa joe and join us on this exciting journey.

In this episode, we welcome our resident expert guest, Gianni Del Rosario-Makridis, who is a plant enthusiast and a final year Ph.D. candidate in the genetics of medicinal cannabis at La Trobe University. Gianni's work is dedicated to discovering new and exciting therapies for treatments by unlocking the therapeutic benefits of plants. He graduated with first class honours in botany in 2017 and has been researching cannabis trichome genetics full-time as a Ph.D. candidate since then. In addition to being an academic teaching plant-based molecular biology to undergraduates, Gianni is also a scientific consultant in the cannabis industry with experience as a cultivator for one of Australia's largest cannabis companies. He brings a wealth of expertise in both the science and commercial sides of medical cannabis to our show.
