  • Imagine if you will...  A beautiful little theatre in Rural Nova Scotia in the summer of 2020.  There is nothing out of the ordinary.  Nothing has been cancelled. No one has to wear a mask.  The Artistic Director Andrea Boyd and her friend Laura Teasdale did not have to furiously write a six-episode radio play to fill the theatrical void that made them cry themselves to sleep. No.  This is an ordinary summer at Festival Antigonish...And you are invited to listen in.  In our first episode, our “Come From Away” director, Clare, and Jude, the “best stage manager in Nova Scotia”, are in the midst of auditions for the upcoming season at Festival Antigonish.  Let’s take a listen….

    Episode 1 of Hector the Spectre Steals the Show was written by Andrea Boyd and Laura Teasdale.  In the cast you heard Liliona Quarmyne as Clare, James MacLean as Jude, Josh MacDonald as Ben, Francine Deschepper as Margie and Kevin Curran as Hector, with cameos by Laura Teasdale and Briana Lynch-Rankin. Sound design was by Justin Gregg and direction by Andrea Boyd.
