#027 Anthony ‘Harry’ Moffit – What the SAS and Entrepreneurship have in common.

  • Summary

  • Here is my discussion with Anthony Moffit, aka Harry. I call him Tony.Tony is a mate from my time in the Australian Army. We were both posted to the SASR in the late 1980s; he went, I didn't.Tony served with distinction in several operational environments, including Iraq and Afghanistan. He spent 25 years with the SAS as an operative and Team Commander.Tony transitioned from the SASR in his late forties and is now a Psychologist and Managing Director at Stotan Group and the Mission Critical Teams Institute. He is a best-selling author who recently released his memoir Eleven Bats: combat, cricket, and the SAS and is currently writing his next book on human performance. He is also the lead singer and songwriter with the rock band The Externals, who are abo to return to the stage (Info is available on our website). You would be right in asking what a SAS guy is doing on an entrepreneurship podcast and what this has to do with Entrepreneurship. Well, the answer is everything. Like Special Forces work, entrepreneurship is about a clear mission, solving problems, and turning towards danger/risk when you would rather not. It is about capability, teamwork, knowing who you can rely on, and what happens when things go south. It's also about novel and creative thinking and punching above your weight. Please enjoy my conversation with Mr Anthony Moffit. Here are some links:Connect with Harry on - Linked In11 Bats (Best Selling Book)The Externals (the Band)Tickets to The Externals Show in Perth.https://entrepreneurship.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Anthony-Moffitt-2024.07.24.mp3
