    洪水之后，诺亚又活了好多年，地上渐渐地又住满了人。然而，随着人的增多，他们又犯罪，悖逆神。人们开始制造偶像来敬拜，而不敬拜神。过了几百年，世界又一次堕入黑暗之中，罪恶满盈。

    于是，神藉着众先知再次发出警告，他要再次惩罚罪孽深重之人。这些传达神的话语要人悔改的先知们受到人的忌恨和迫害，其中很多人被杀。然而，神爱世人，还是一代接一代不停地差遣先知到世上来。
