In the Chitrakoot region, the long-lived name Rishi resides in the ashram. People there cut down trees, built houses, and built coal mines, which cleared the forest of trees. Over time, the droughts dried up the ponds, and the people and animals suffered greatly from the death toll. A woodpecker that lived in that country, of thirst, saw a long life in a shelter and got water and food. When asked about the plight of the country, Dirghajeevi Rishi said that the crisis was caused by tree felling and arson. He called for a drive to save the country by motivating woodworkers to plant trees. He returned to his village, determined to plant trees, took the advice and planted the trees.
