  • تقول الاسطوره كان هناك شخص اسمه علي وهو مناهل البدو في منطقة وادي رم , كان علي يحب فتاه جدا واهل الفتاه قاموا برفضوا عندما تقدم للزواج منها , حيث قام علي بتطبيق المثل المشهور (ومن الحب ما قتل) فقرر ان ينتحر حيت قام بالصعود الى اعلى الجبل ورمي نفسه من الاعلى لكن لا احد يعرف ان كان مات او هرب لكنه اختفى
    فسمي هذا الجبل الذي قام علي بالنط منه بجبل الخزعلي
