Vivien Stein ist erst seit Kurzem bei der Kriminalpolizei Leer, als sie zu einem Tatort gerufen wird. Eine junge Frau ist durch einen Kopfschuss ums Leben gekommen. Eigentlich sieht alles nach einem Suizid aus, doch Vivien hat Zweifel. Kurz darauf gibt es eine weitere Leiche. Nun muss die Kommissarin in zwei Fälle ermitteln. Dass sie mit ihrem neuen Partner Tamme selten einer Meinung ist und sich nebenbei noch um einen ausgesetzten Welpen kümmern muss, ist dabei nicht gerade hilfreich.
