Publisher's Summary

All stars must fall.

Bloody, lost, broken. We live to fight another day. But with so much stolen from us, can the fates ever twist in our favour again?

My sister and I have been torn apart by shadows and despair, and now we each stand alone.

Our sorrow is spun like a web, trapping us tight, and I fear our enemies will soon come to feast upon our souls.

But if I have my way, the merciless sky will have dealt us its final fortune. It’s time for us to take back the power that’s been ripped from our grasp and turn the tide of this war.

All stars must fall, and all Phoenixes must rise.

Long live the Savage Queens.

This will now be book 8 of 9 in the series.

This is a dark, bully romance–don’t go expecting a sweet school for magic with friends around every corner. Fae fight for everything they own and Zodiac Academy is a cutthroat school for students aged 18+ where only the strongest prevail. There’s no Dumbledore here to save anyone’s ass and Lionel Acrux will give Voldemort a run for his money in the evil dictator category. So hold onto your stardust (broomsticks not required) and get ready for a bumpy ride.

Mixed emotions

This series has been amazing but this book is mostly filler and not in their usual style of storytelling. Picks up towards the end and the final few chapters re-captivates you but the middle is long and drawn out and was a struggle to get through. Hope book 9 is back to the fast paced story we all know and love

slay queens!

Sorrow and starlight by Caroline peckham and Susanne valenti. I cried for three twins in this. Both seem to have hit rock bottom, but I love how both have looked at the stars and screamed a big f$ck you to them all. Loved what Tory did and if I was in her position I would of done the same. But was so envious when she went into the massive library. Like could we just stay here for a while. Cannot wait for the final book

And another one

Performance always incredible!
Dragged on in places with lots of fluff but plot was good otherwise
Cliffhanger at the end makes me wonder if they’ll really wrap this series up in one more book
Love this series so much and can’t wait for it to all come together

Loved it so much

A lot of people will have mixed feeling about this book but at the end of the day it’s slither story which I loved every minute of listening too.I will say it was a bit of a roller coaster of emotions at the start and the middle but in the end it really did leave me wanting more. And as usual it’s always amazing to hear Bridget and jake so thankyou.

Entertainment ++

This book still had all the seriousness and comedy as the previous. I laughed and cried and did that thing with your face when you find some hot gossip. Looking forward to seeing what the next books bring.

Felt like stuffing

This book felt like a lot of fluff, I felt as though it didn’t have as much substance as the rest of the series so far and was just there to fill a gap.

Long… so very, very, very long

Honestly you could skip 40 chapters of this book and still understand the story. Some great moments but it took commitment to get through. The ending was good- last 10 chapters. That was the saving grace for me - and yes I will start the next one.
I used to love the Geraldine chapters - now I find them pretty cringe. I think it was too heavy on fluff and book filler. I felt sorry for the narrators.
Is it worth it? Maybe, but if the next one is like this I won’t be continuing.
