About this listen
The generals said it was a rescue operation. Everyone knew it was a suicide mission. Zeb Carter volunteered.
Sori. Western military generals shudder when they hear the name. It is a remote, inaccessible village in Afghanistan, high up in the Hindu Kush mountains. It is where a dreaded Taliban terrorist hides and from where he conducts his murderous raids.
Villagers have a special name for the mountain on which Sori is perched. Mountain of Death. Sori is also where the Taliban hold three American soldiers captive. All attempts to free them have failed. Military operations and negotiations have proved fruitless. As the terrorists threaten to execute the soldiers, Zeb Carter volunteers to mount a rescue attempt. Alone.
On the Mountain of Death, the one person who might have the slightest chance is the man who doesn't fear dying.

A big surprise package
Fabulous story line, well written as I felt sometimes I was travelling either the main character.
Excellent twists and turns with the plot. Great narration by story teller.
Look forward to hearing the next book by this author.

Great story with good narration
Jeb Carter is as quick as a flash, mentally and physically. It’s a fast paced story that keeps you page turning.
I don’t know why others have criticised the narrator, I thought he did a good job

Audio DNF
Bought the audio for the start of this series. Up to chapter 27 and I jut can’t go on. The narrator is doing such a bad job, no inflexion in his voice and the conversations are as boring as. So wanted to find another great read.

Good story ruined by terrible narrator
Narrated so poorly I couldn't get past chapter 3. Shame, it could have been a good series.

Great story … Bad narration
Finished the audio book because I liked the story. Having listened to hundreds of audio books this was the worst narrator I have encountered. The story was engaging detracted from by the story teller.
