About this listen

They call me Zen-man, the cool-headed one, the protector. I keep an eye out for everyone, take them in, find them homes. They think I’m the calm and collected one, the self-assured one, the one who knows the way. They think they see me. They think they know me.

But they’re all wrong, because inside I’m broken. I have a jagged hole in my soul I can’t fix, a festering blackness. I’ve been to the pits of hell, and nobody comes back unscathed. Life in foster care fucked me up, and now a thread is all that’s holding me together.

So I sleep around and never date, keeping chicks away. One day I’ll snap, and when I do, there’s no telling who I might take down with me.

All the same, there’s this one girl who won’t be scared away. Dakota. She’s hot, and I won’t deny I want her. But she keeps coming back, pushing me, trying to get me to talk, to open up to her.

She has no idea she’s playing with fire. When the demons come, she’d better be far away from me, just like everyone else.

Stand-alone novel. No cliff-hanger. Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature listeners only. Not intended for young listeners.

Bonus! Includes What I Want for Christmas, a Zane and Dakota short story.

And it just keeps getting better

I cannot believe that Ms Raven can find such different Issues but Still manages to connect the inked brotherhood boys together.
This was another dark story and It was sad as its about Zane who is normally the one who holds everyone together.
I still see that there are some issues with him which I'm hoping will come out in a later book.
Unfortunately I have worked my way through the catalogue plus with this series and now its credit or dollars time but it's so good and I'm enjoying these boys and the girls so much that it's differently going to be worth a credit if the $ .
Sebastian York you are THE bomb! I cannot believe how you have taken Zane and given him a voice that portrays his character, in my opinion as perfectly as Jo Raven has written him.
Zane has personality and witt and you bring him to life along with his brokenness, sadness and tortured desperation I can't get enough of listening to you.
Anna, you have a wonderful voice and did Dakota justice. i thoroughly enjoyed the light and dark shades of Zanes life written in this book. bloody awesome 👌

a good romance

Has a start and finish and mixes in well to the inked brotherhood series. Zane is the big brother to all and the one everyone relies on, the glue. but what happens when the glue begins to come unstuck??
Along comes Dakota with her teasing ways and her incessant want for a dragon tattoo of her own. She seem strong, someone he can rely on but is letting her be his flatmate the worst idea she has presented??
I absolutely loved this story except that Zanes past was not very clear even by the end of the story which was a little disappointing.. otherwise I highly recommend.
