About this listen

Selected by the American Library Association as a Best Book for Young Adults.

She watches; she dreams. She sees more than they realize. She has worries and fears, hopes and desires. She is troubled; she is angry. Above all, she is lonely. She may be someone you know. She may be you.

In So Much to Tell You she tells her story. With humor and insight, with sensitivity and strength, with painful honesty. You will never forget her.

Editorial reviews

After suffering from a horrible accident and becoming unable to speak, Marina is asked by her English teacher to keep a journal. At first she dreads the assignment, but then the blank pages fill up with stories from her life. A powerful, honest, true-to-life tale that will resonate with young listeners, particularly those on the introspective side. Performer Kate Hosking's voice is cool and androgynous, and while that may seem like a strange choice for a young female protagonist, she ably captures the anonymity Marina feels.

Critic Reviews

"Impressive emotional power, style, freshness, and originality." (Children's Book Council of Australia)
"John Marsden's writing is artful without being self-conscious. With consummate skill, he has Marina record the events around her and, through them, reveal herself." (AudioFile)

Audible cuts out all the time

Any additional comments?

The book itself is wonderful, but the audio version keeps cutting out at 8 minutes. Not happy that something I paid for does not work properly.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
