Publisher's Summary
On the morning of Lily's 25th birthday, it's time to open the very last letter written to her by her beloved mother, who died when she was eight.
Learning more about the first and only real love of her mum's life is a revelation. On the same day, Lily also meets Eddie Tessler, a man fleeing fame who just might have the ability to change her world in unimaginable ways. But her childhood friend, Dan, has his own reasons for not wanting Lily to get too carried away by Eddie's attentions.
Before long, secrets begin to emerge, and Lily's friends and family become involved. In the beautiful Cotswold village of Stanton Langley, nothing will ever be the same again....

My favourite book if JM
Love love this story, funny, witty, and heart warming! This is one of my favourite books. After this review, I'm listening to it again! I love Dan and Lily, especially how witting they comments and joking behaviour! I also like Ed character, I like it how JM didn't create him a bad character to make Lily choices difficult to pick.

Loved it!
I loved all of it, the story, the characters and the reading. Although I would have liked the narration to be a bit slower, so one sentence didn’t move as quickly to the next, maybe just a breath at the end. Otherwise very enjoyable 😊

A little cliche but good.
Good and easy listen, about half way through the story becomes a little predictable. Overall enjoyed it though.

Love, Love Jill Mansell but couldn't finish this.
This is my 9th Jill Mansell book but I couldn't keep listening to it.
A combination of sugary sweet perfect characters and the narrator giving the heroine a 16 year old posh voice. Everyone was posh!
Where are the gritty, interesting, faulty characters? Too predictable by far. I need salt to get rid of the sugary taste.

Reliable as always
Would you try another book written by Jill Mansell or narrated by Susie Riddell?
Yes to both
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I find it interesting that Jill Mansell has a bit more substance than much chick-lit. It's not my favourite genre.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes, well done.
Did You and Me, Always inspire you to do anything?
No... though I might buy another book with this duo.
Any additional comments?
This was a good story and well told.
