About this listen

From the best-selling author of The Hidden Hours.

Lizzie Burdett was 18 when she vanished, and Noah Carruso has never forgotten her. She was his first crush, his unrequited love. She was also his brother Tom’s girlfriend. 12 years later, an inquest into Lizzie’s disappearance is looming, and Tom is coming home to give evidence after a decade away. The brothers’ long-held grudges are quickly resurfacing.

A few weeks before the inquest begins, Noah meets Alice Pryce on holiday. They fall for each other fast and hard, but Noah can’t bear to tell Alice his deepest secrets. And Alice is equally stricken - she carries a terrible secret of her own.

Is the truth worth telling if it will destroy everything?

Love story with a bit of drama

Narrator did an excellent job, story line was engaging but the Mills and Boon with some drama twists.
If your after a not to intricate easy listen, with a few stories running around this is your book.
More love/drama, someone mentioned it’s a Thriller Nope don’t get it for that.

A fascinating exploration of the collateral damage violence causes

This is the story of the people affected by crimes and how the impact such events have in their lives. It’s a romance as much as a crime story. How do the good souls who get drawn into the darker side of life stay sane? Read to find out.

Story was ok

The story was ok, I didn’t really rate the final form relationships.

The narration was absurd. The Thai accent was borderline inappropriate.

A Love Struggling To Survive Family Secrets & Murder

The Story of Alice & Noah was very bittersweet.

To be madly in love is one thing, to have it endure through family trauma, on both sides is another.

Noah and Alice go through unimaginable confessions and heartbreak that puts their love for each other to the test

Not great

Narrator is easy enough to listen to but the story line was not riveting having too much given in banal everyday details and soppy cringe worthy romance scenes .

Unfortunately I found this a bit dull

I’ve enjoyed all other Sara Foster books but this one I struggled with and if I hadn’t of paid for it on audible I would have given up 2 hours in. The second half of the book was ok.

Trashy overly soppy romance/family secrets story

way too much on the mushy romantic side, not the thriller it promises to be. pretty trashy on the whole.
