strange

story looked like it was heading somewhere till about halfway through. Good character development, great voices. Then it seemed to go nowhere, with no further development of story. Couldn't get a handle in what was going on, and ending just stopped at a really weird place. Like the middle of a chapter. I know there are more books in the series but it didn't leave me wanting more.

Interesting story

Interesting story. It’s like a post-apocalyptic zombie except the zombies are something else. That’s a nice twist.

The most ex-machina book I’ve ever read.

The overall story wasn’t too bad. Nothing too special, however, the character arcs themselves were atrocious. A cringe worthy incel, a mother who can quite literally sense where her daughter is at any time, etc.
The writer seems to think that swearing is the way to discuss quite literally every single subject, using crass words such as C***, B****, and P***y an insane amount.
Do not be fooled, this book doesn’t have a ‘full cast’, rather, 4-5 voice actors narrating different chapters.
I can’t say I enjoyed any character bar one, which was Burisio, or however you may spell it. He was performed extremely well, and was perhaps the only character who’s traits and habits and ‘abilities’ seemed logical.

I do not recommend this book, i had to force myself to finish it. Do not trust the supposed 5 star reviews this book is getting, I believe they are purposefully displaying it as 5 stars because it is an audible original.

Great sci fi. A bit graphic at times but very satisfying listen. Worth the buy.

Multi Dimensional

With multiple storylines over multiple time periods with multiple narrators, this tale is very much worth reading!!! Keeps you listening!!!

Interesting read

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

RC Bray is mono tone and using the same pitch to for narrating both Bran (spelling?) and Louis is absolutely killing me. There's so much conversation between these 2 character but he made it sound like a person is talking to himself. Maxwell Glick's voice is young and he sounds very very different when the narration was switched to him. At least he tried. Sean Platt, and Ray Chase has gotta be the best narrator here among the group. Their narrations managed to keep me stayed on the course and finished the season and not quitting it.

Overall storyline is rather interesting, but over the course of the entire season, we have not a single clue what the heck (not defined yet) are we facing here.

Getting a little Lost

By Lost i mean the TV series. I'm hooked but I'm not sure i am going to be satisfied by the end. i will buy season 2. Most of the narration is good the additional voices in the Edward Keenan story are a bit off putting.

lacking "something"

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

i listened to about half of this book. I almost always make myself finish a book even if I am not really that interested in it once started because I need to know how it finishes. i didnt care what happened to the characters or the story in this case,

Would you ever listen to anything by David Wright and Sean Platt again?

Possibly, even if its just to see if this book is not one of their best

Any additional comments?

I liked the reading of the book and how it flowed from different perspectives and different situations with characters. Its not that it was boring per se. It wasnt. However it didnt really move the story along as a whole and seemed to be trying to drag out the reason why so many people were in the different situations because of the same reason. Almost like the scene setting became the storyline
