About this listen

On October 15, everyone in the world vanished. Well, almost everyone. Some were left behind, attempting to piece together what happened, find their loved ones, and survive. But they are not alone.

Season Two picks up where Season One left off. One man finds himself on a mysterious island that holds secrets, and perhaps even answers, to what happened on October 15. A group finds itself taking refuge at The Sanctuary, a religious compound with an enigmatic leader called The Prophet. A serial killer finds himself leading an unlikely group of survivors. A young man searches to prove himself to his group, and avoid being bullied ever again. A young child is called to perform another miracle at great personal cost. Every decision. Every action. Every dream. Every alliance. Every secret. Every betrayal.

It all comes down to this - the stunning season two finale that will have you on the edge of your seat - and then knock you to the floor with the most insane, most WTF?!-unforgettable season finale yet!

wtf

this sequel goes someway to answering many of the questions from the first series, but then opens up a whole lot more. Expertly narrated and brilliantly written.

was better than season1 can't wait untill season3

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I defiantly would but they need to listen to season 1 first.

What other book might you compare Yesterday's Gone: Season 2 to, and why?

not a book, but maybe a series, the walking dead would be close that cult like atmosphere zombie alien intruders. all that character development only to rip it away and leave you with a oow look on your face..

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances? How does this one compare?

yes and love all the narrators. they changed some of the narrators in this book but I think it was for the better, as long as Boricio doesn't change he really brings it to life great job :)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes it was very addictive.

Any additional comments?

Boricio and Luka were the stars of this book well written and spoken, I laughed cryed and was shocked all through. I can't wait until the next instalment comes out, im tempted to read it but I really think the audio dose do it so much more justice.

Deceptively Good.

I posted this same review for season one as the were both listened to over the course of three days.

I took a gamble on this book. I listened to the first episode which was free and decided to buy season 1. That was two days ago and I just finished season 2.

The overall story is great and the authors make some crazy decisions during the first two seasons and they definitely make you want more. Some of the characters are written fantastically and details are not spared.

The only issues I had with the first two seasons was the swapping of narrators, most of them are good but two in particular are a bit lacking, you do get use to them after a while but some of the characters stories converge and hearing a different narrator voice a character that was voiced by someone else for the last 10 hours can be a little off putting. That aside, the story is good enough to keep you going and deal with the slight break that occurs when narrators switch.

WARNING, the book can be a bit graphic on some very adult themes, if you can't handle this or are easily offended. I would approach the book with caution. This isn't a constant and there is only two scenes that really stood out to me regardless of the fact that it didn't bother me.

Looking forward to season 3.

Story made a lot more sense than Season 1 to me

I really enjoyed this even though I nearly didn't bother after season 1.

The necrophilia could really have been left out - we know he's a badass, I'm not w writer, but I'm sure there has to be something else would have worked just as well and not left me feeling so weird - I had to take a star off for this because of the weirdness.

Really enjoyed where this story was going up until the last bit of season two (book 12 or whatever) now I don't really know where it's going, but I'm keen to get onto the next one.

Not as good as the first

Spoiler alert! . There was too much cult related speeches that was offensive. And made listening hard. The story also went in a uninteresting direction and losing the intrigueness created in the first series. Also killing off many favourite characters, breaking attachment bond with characters and the book.
