About this listen
Banjo "Jo" Mitchell has a lot to drink about: he's 25, his boyfriend walked out, he's not paid the rent and Australia is voting on his right to marry. Overwhelmed by shame, every passing bus is a tempting opportunity for Jo to leave this life behind.
The only thing stopping him is a last glimmer of hope that things may get better, but is a glimmer enough?
A hilarious and touching new novel written and read by Daniel Cottier exploring mental health, community and queerness.

definitely recommend, full of life and told with verve and humour.

A Work of a Bright Mind with an Endearing Heart
The way the author weaves each witty and snarky thought of the main character with the fabric of internal and external challenges all set amidst the backdrop of a pivotal and emotional moment in Australian society is definitely a work of a gifted artist. It'll have you laughing and admiring the clever use of words and references while at the same time feeling the deep often unexplored emotions and torments that relate to shame. And after all that it transforms you while making you feel part of a moment that forever changed the lives of so many. Yeah/Yes becomes a very personal experience where you can't help but fall in love with the main character and the mind and heart that wrote it.
