Everything seemed normal at the prestigious Robards Auction House in Las Vegas until the explosion occurred that left multiple people injured, at least one dead, and an extremely valuable antique pocket watch stolen.
Private detective Ray Diamond is among those in attendance at the time of the explosion, as the pocket watch is an integral piece to the case he is currently working, but in a flash, Diamond is thrust into a case that begins with the questions of whether the explosion that left one person dead was murder, a diversion for the theft, or if the theft was committed out of convenience.
As Diamond digs deeper into the case, he unravels the much deeper and darker mystery tied to the pocket watch that dates back centuries to the age of pirates and piracy, and is quite possibly connected to one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, who just may have happened to be in the wrong place at the right time.
