hard listen at times
it was a pretty hard listen. the silo is a tough place and there are few happy endings.

An inventive thriller with resonating contemporary themes
Backed up by a solid narration. Enjoyed the ride and I’m looking forward to book 2!

This book is a MUST listen
You may notice a few reviews that aren’t fully positive and I understand completely why. There is a lot of heartache for the reader in this book, connections you make with certain characters who die, unforeseen tragedy’s etc. But it is within this notion that this book shines. Life is unpredictable, happy endings aren’t always guaranteed.

Long
Slow to start with but had to stick it out as I had already bought the whole trilogy. Picked up around ch 30 and glad I didn't put it away. Looking forward to the rest. A few people complained about monotone. I loved the voice. It is a serious book, not a famous 5 mystery. I think the narrators voice did it justice.

Really worth the listen
The narrator was amazing, she had so much emotion and variation to her voice that I felt part of the story.
The story was entertaining and engaging, I found myself loving and engaging with the characters, empathising and angry depending on which character was speaking. Lots of twists and turns.
Will be listening to the rest of the series now.
