Brilliant analysis
This is simply a great book. Mary Beard’s narration is also excellent. The issues she discusses are of critical importance and her wide-ranging knowledge of history gives her analysis a powerful perspective.

Masterpiece
The book is a collection of 3 essays by Mary Beard and they are masterpieces. Mary discusses power and women through a historical and modern lens. Thebook is thought provoking, meaningful and powerful. She is a passionate and persuasive writer and speaker who puts into perspective parts of life which many have perhaps until now taken for granted.

understanding the historical context for how we think about women and power is fascinating and eye opening. myth busting about the classics is neat to! well narrated and written
