Enjoyable but....
I liked the overall premise of the story & the character of Max, but there were some inconsistencies that kept taking me out of the story & found it confusing. I even went back to certain parts to re-listen to try & understand. Story was too short, not sure if will continue with book 2 for fear of the same inconsistencies.....
The narrator was ok but can not do an Irish or Australian accent to save her life.

This book is a great fantasy read. I was hooked from the start and devoured every word. A great read, I really enjoyed it

Fun and easy to listen to
Good, easy read. Great supernatural story and fun characters. Looking forward to the next one.
Personally speaking, I would have preferred the narrator not attempt Australian or British accents - they’re difficult if you’re not good at accents (same as when we try USA accents so not her fault). Just made the experience a little grating, but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot.
