About this listen

His code name is Mr Clark. And his work for the CIA is brilliant, cold-blooded, and efficient...but who is he really? In a harrowing tour de force, Tom Clancy shows how an ordinary man named John Kelly crossed the lines of justice and morality - to become the CIA legend, Mr Clark.

This is an unforgettable journey into the heart of darkness. Without mercy. Without guilt. Without remorse.

The best of all Clancy's work...

Without Remorse is, and has been, my number 1 book for years.

I have always read and re-read all of Tom Clancy's novels. The depth of the story, the emotional feeling of the characters and the way all the actions happy with such truth well outsource all the modern hero books and movies.

Definitely worth a read for sure.

Riveting , Brilliant , compulsive reading

A brilliant start to the John Clark Séries of Tom Clancy books.. emphasis on detail keep you glued to the unwinding story of a vigilante who sets out to avenge his girlfriends murder. Fast moving riveting story from start to finish.

Great story, horrible narration

This was a great story, but it was let down a lot by the narration. The story was just read, not narrated, in a fairly irritating voice.

Never too old to learn of an amazing Author!

I don't know how many movies or novels that I have seen or heard the name of Tom Clancy over the last 45 or so years or so, since getting into stories by Wilbur Smith, Steven King or Dean R Koontz in my very early teens (Thanks Mum), and not given it a second thought, but I am an avid fan as of now!

I'm no critic, but the story has great characters, the plots are riveting and the story is intertwined all the way through to the very end. I have just downloaded book two of the series and can't wait to get stuck into it and see what is in store for Mr. Clark!

Good Story bad naration

The monotonous voice of the narrator spoils the story while the plot is very simplistic

Great

Great to have a version I can bear to listen too. Michael Pritchard does a great job. I love the story but the world view of the protagonist is very fixed. Perhaps showing the era it was written in.

Classic Clancy…

Well worth your time… story builds the character that will be a part of the continuing series…

Great story, not so great reading

The story is very engaging with the trademark attention to detail. The narration could have been better though. The reader has made minimal use of modulation which makes it difficult to understand when different characters are speaking at the same time.

Every legend has a birthplace.

This is the origin story every Tom Clancy fan has wanted to read for years. The man. The legend. Mr John Clark. Find out what made him the man that the CIA called when the going gets tough. It is an excellent story that is fantastically performed. This is a must-have for your collection.

A solid back story

Story flow was easy to keep up with . The narrator was good, just a bit hard to understand. Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable book to listen to.
